Sarah Gamboni: food, drinks and travel writer

It’s been 14 years since I first started writing about food and travel professionally, and oh how times have changed. I’ve had three names – Sarah Macdonald, Sarah Lewis, Sarah Gamboni, yes, we’re all one and the same – multiple job titles and almost as many places I’ve called home.

But the one thing that has remained constant is my love of food, drinks and travel, and my desire to share those experiences with likeminded people.

Over the years, I’ve worked as a food, wine and travel writer for leading Australian magazines and websites, including Delicious, Halliday Wine Companion Magazine, Jetstar, Foodiful, and Mercedes-Benz Magazine. I’ve also relished my role as a restaurant reviewer for Gourmet Traveller, Time Out Melbourne, Broadsheet Melbourne, the Good Food Guides, Cheap Eats, The Age Good Bar Guide, and Asia Tatler Dining in Hong Kong.

These days, a lot of what I do takes place behind the scenes, crafting content and blog posts for clients including Tourism Australia, Asian Inspirations, Blessed by Nature, Handsome and Beautiful Accommodation.
